How to Draw Loki

The ‘god of mischief’ Loki has graced the screen in some of Marvel’s most popular properties, including Thor and the Avengers. If you’re a fan of the movies, you might be interested in learning how to draw him. He’s got a lot of interesting quirks and tics to go along with his enigmatic powers.

There are numerous ways to depict him, including his various guises, as well as in animated form. To make things easier, it’s best to start with a sketch and then follow up with a few digital layers. This way, you can easily remove or add parts of your work in progress if need be.

For instance, you can start by drawing his helmet. A skull shaped skull may not be your cup of tea, but a simple tinier version should do the trick. Likewise, you’ll want to pay attention to the details in his gloves and thigh high boots. When it comes to the latter, you’ll want to make sure you include a pair of lapels and a well-rounded toe.

Lastly, you’ll want to incorporate the colors of your chosen god. You can use the same color schemes that you used for your avatar, or you can use a combination of the two. Or, if you’re feeling especially artistic, why not do a multi-colored sketch and then fill in the rest of the color scheme later? With a little effort, you’ll be a master of Loki lore in no time.
