Loke – A Celestial Spirit of the Leo Zodiac

The Fairy Tail manga and anime series is set in the Kingdom of Fiore, a fictional planet in the fantasy world of Earth-land where magic is widely practiced. Its inhabitants, called wizards (Mo Dao Shi , Madoshi), perform various forms of magic to help others and earn a living, usually by joining guilds to specialize in certain techniques. The series follows several members of the rambunctious titular guild, with a selection of main and supporting characters who join them on their adventures.

Loke, a Celestial Spirit of the Leo zodiac, is the Gold Key member of Fairy Tail and a skilled hand-to-hand combatant who wields the ring Regulus. He has a deep loyalty for his friends and is willing to go out of his way to protect them; for example, he stayed in the human world on behalf of his friend Aries for a long time, despite how harmful it was for him to do so.

He also possesses a powerful technique called Lion Brilliance, which he initiates by taking his casting stance and releasing a bright light that covers a large area around him. The light blinds and stuns opponents, forcing them to lower their guard and making them easier targets for physical attacks.

When in his human form, he wears a darker shirt with a skull motif and lighter pants, along with a pair of azure-tinted sunglasses and three earrings in his left ear. His hair also transforms into a longer, spikier style that mirrors a lion’s mane. He is voiced by Eric Vale in the English dub, and by Daisuke Kishio in the Japanese dub.
