The Loki Shapeshifter is based on the famous book and film of Norse Mythology. The story told in the mythology depicts how the legendary King of the Gods, Odin, travels into a realm called the World of the Blind. There he banishes a giant to this world, a giant called Nauthiz, from his own home realm of Asgard (the world of the dead) because he has stolen from the gods. There Nauthiz immediately starts to change into a deformed human-like creature that closely resembles the serpent-like character from the story. After some time as a human-like creature, he gains the ability to change into any form he desires and begins to take over the kingdom of Jotunheim, a city which was built by the wise Odysseus some time before the birth of Jesus Christ.
It is during this time that King Thor finds himself thrown from his horse, the Sleigh, by an angry god, angered by what he sees as the corruption of Jotunheim’s teachings. Thor immediately transforms into a powerful warrior and kills his way through the forest until he reaches Nauthiz. Upon his arrival, he cuts a hole for himself to enter through, and fights his way through the royal palace. Once inside, however, he finds that Nauthiz has transformed into a magical force who easily takes over the kingdom. With only his healing powers and the help of a warrior named Freya, Thor struggles to hold back the influence of the mystical force and its allies who are led by the evil Jarns, who want to destroy the new ruler of Jotunheim.
Meanwhile back in the real world, King Thor is visited by his trusted adviser, Baldrinn, who advises him to put away his crown and accept a life of poverty and penance as a means to please the gods. While thinking about this, Thor gets himself drunk one night and passes out. Baldrinn takes him to Skagos where he tricks him into drinking a magic drink that makes Thor fall in love with him instantly. He then leads him to the place where the other three realms are located, but Thor must travel through a long path to reach it. Finally, he reaches the throne room where he meets the beautiful Queen Jefa, who is the rightful ruler of all the Nine realms.
