One Piece Review

loki one piece

If you are in the market for a new anime to binge watch, there is no doubt that you have heard of One Piece. The series is produced by Toei Animation and was adapted from the One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda. There are two story arcs. The first is the one about Big Mom’s shady dealings with the government. The second is the ill-fated quest to become the Pirate King.

It’s been over a decade since the One Piece heyday, but the characters still retain the giddy excitement of the early days. As for the rest of the crew, they are a tight-knit group, prone to making mistakes. But what is it about this particular group that enables them to be the best of the rest? They aren’t just cool, they’re good at what they do. Whether they’re destined to rule the seas or sunk in a quagmire is another matter.

While the rest of the crew is off in search of Sanji, the good ship Luffy and the aforementioned Big Mom are on their own terms. A group of Fire Tank pirates has been keeping an eye on them. That is, until a lone wolf decides to go rogue. Now, this isn’t the type of slack you’d expect from the Fire Tank, but that’s a different story.

Of course, there’s no real way to tell if they’ll turn out to be a dud or a swan, but the fact remains that the show is a great time. On top of that, the cast is made up of a slew of edgy characters, including Nami, Carrot and Shirahoshi.
