Ever since Loki’s reveal in One Piece fans have been speculating about what his Devil Fruit will be. They’ve based the majority of their theories on Norse mythology and many people believe that his Devil Fruit will be the Hitohito no Mi, Model: Hel, giving him the powers of the Goddess of Death. However, something about Loki’s appearance has fans scratching their heads. The Prince of Elbaf has his eyes taped shut and that has some people wondering if there’s meaning behind this.
The movies have presented Loki as a villain that does a mix of good and bad. He’s an oft incompetent idiot who deserves to be beaten to a pulp by Thor and other gods, but he also spawned some of the worst monsters in Norse mythology like Fenrir and Jormungand, as well as Odin’s eight-legged horse Sleipnir.
He’s a manipulative snake who tries to trick his way out of messes, but he also has a sense of honor and isn’t afraid to fight for what he believes in. That’s why he’s so dangerous and the most feared god in Norse mythology, not the Asgardian warriors.
Tom Hiddleston has blue eyes and the movies have never shown Loki with his eyes green except in a poster for Thor (2011). The reason the scepter turned his eyes blue in that scene was to make it clear to the audience that Loki was being mind controlled. In the other movies, the scepter didn’t turn them blue but instead gave Selvig and Clint a visible sign that they were manipulated, too.
