The Loki Staff and Scepter

The Loki Staff/Scepter is an omnipotent weapon used by The Norse gods to destroy different objects. It is extremely sharp and is used to control and influence people. The blade of the scepter is able to produce powerful energy blasts. In “The Avengers,” Loki uses the staff to control people by pressing it to their hearts. This skill requires contact with the person’s skin. However, when the scepter was accidentally touched to the heart of Tony Stark, the arc reactor prevented the scepter from being able to affect him.

As the staff of The Norse gods, the Scepter was one of Loki’s many weapons. It was the original containment vessel for the Mind Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones. Thanos gifted the Scepter to Loki, who then used it in various altercations with the Avengers. The Scepter was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. after the Battle of New York. The scepter was stolen by Wolfgang von Strucker’s HYDRA cell and taken to Sokovia. This item serves as evidence of the character’s role in the first phase of the Marvel movies.
