Loki is one of the most popular Marvel characters. He is the son of Frost Giant king Laufey. His sister is Hela. He was once a prince of Asgard. But he became evil.
Loki is now working for the Time Variance Authority. The organization wants him to fix the timeline. It’s not clear how they can do that, but they will probably have to go back in time.
The Time Variance Authority also needs to wipe out any “time-variants” that are in the way. They aren’t immortal, but they could be. Fortunately, there’s a way for them to do that.
In Avengers: Endgame, Loki makes an appearance in a time heist. Then he’s captured by the Avengers. However, he’s not the main villain in the movie. Instead, the real villain is Thanos.
In the end, Thanos kills Loki. That’s not the first time this has happened. This was also the case in the previous Avengers film, Infinity War.
A variant of Loki appeared in Thor: Ragnarok. He seemed to die again in the sequel, but is he dead? Is he in a parallel universe? And does he still have a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
While there’s no telling when or how Loki will return, Marvel fans are ecstatic. After all, he was a fan favorite since 2012’s The Avengers. With this series, he has a chance to explore big plot holes in the MCU and resolve a major gimmick.
